CONSTRUCTION NOTICE:
CONSTRUCTION WORK AT 5555 OVERLAND WILL REQUIRE TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROLS ON CAMPUS ROADS:
1. MAY 24 - JUNE 6, 2010: OVERLAND ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED
2. JUNE 1 - JUNE 4, 2010:
TRAFFIC CONTROLS IN THE ON-CAMPUS DRIVEWAY EAST OF BUILDING 2 ON JUNE 1-4, 2011
1. From May 24 - June 6, 2010, Roel Construction will be rebuilding the Overland cul-de-sac and entrance to the Campus. This will include subsurface utility work, re-building the cul-de-sac to City/County standards, and paving.
- The Overland Entrance will be closed from May 24 - June 6, 2010 (See diagram below.)
- Access to the Emergency Operations Center from Complex Drive will not be impacted by this construction from May 24 - June 6, 2010.
- The other entrances to the County Operations Center will not be impacted by this construction from May 24 - June 6, 2010.
- Traffic from Overland Avenue will be re-directed as shown. The area impacted is shown graphically below, and on the attached files.

2. June 1 - 4, 2010: Contractors will install an underground trench for electrical and data lines. Hours of construction are anticipated to be 6 am - 4 pm. The following safety precautions have been put into place:
- The on-campus driveway will be under traffic control during construction work in the area east of Building 2. (See diagram below.) One lane will remain open and a Flagman will direct traffic. Parking for visitors and staff will not be impacted.
- The area impacted is shown graphically below, and on the attached files.

Parking at the COC
Parking on the COC campus will continue to be self-park, on a first come, first served basis. All reserved and marked stalls will continue to be in use. Parking attendants will be directing vehicles into stalls, and will provide valet services as needed.
IF PARKING ON COC IS NOT AVAILABLE, PLEASE USE THE OVERFLOW PARKING LOT at nearby National University.
Overflow parking and Shuttle Service
- Parking Shuttles will run throughout the day from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- Shuttles will pick up from each of the pick-up locations approximately every 10 minutes.
- Directions to the Overflow Parking Lot (From County Operations Center)

The OVERFLOW PARKING LOT is on the SOUTH SIDE OF LIGHTWAVE AVE.
Shuttle pick up locations
Three shuttle stops will be available at the County Operations Center Campus.
- Shuttle Stop 1: National University Parking Lot: Northwest corner of Building B Parking Lot (South Side of Lightwave Ave.)
- Shuttle Stop 2: East side of Building 2
- Shuttle Stop 3 : Next to Hazard Way Entrance, under Bldg 17 canopy
Please see the diagram below for the location of the Overflow Lot. THE LOT IS ON THE SOUTHERN SIDE OF LIGHTWAVE AVENUE


National University has allocated parking for County staff and visitors on the west side of their lot. (shown in green above). Please follow posted signs.
